Exciting news from WIT Studio as they unveil their freshest project, an anime adaptation of Yaiba.
Despite being a fairly recent establishment, WIT Studio has already built a solid reputation with noteworthy works such as Spy x Family, Suicide Squad Isekai, and the captivating opening and 2D scenes for Persona 3 Reload. They are now set to breathe life into the timeless series Yaiba, chronicling the journeys of Yaiba Kurogane, a youthful samurai drawing inspiration from the legendary samurai Miyamoto Musashi. Crafted by Gosho Aoyama, renowned for the widely-loved series Case Closed (also recognized as Detective Conan), the manga serves as the foundation for this anime adaptation.
The brief yet delightful first glimpse of Yaiba in the trailer, running for approximately 30 seconds, captures the whimsical and vivid essence of the series. Steering the project is Takahiro Hasui, acclaimed for his contributions to Mob Psycho 100 and Bungo Stray Dogs, while Yoshimichi Kameda from Inu-Oh takes on dual roles as the character designer and chief animator.
