Glen Powell, recognized for his performances in Top Gun: Maverick and Anyone But You, received an opportunity to be a part of Jurassic World 4 but opted to reject the offer.
Despite his involvement in various projects throughout the years, which began with his debut in Spy Kids 3: Game Over, Powell gained greater prominence for his role in Top Gun: Maverick in 2022. Since then, he has featured in films like Hit Man and Anyone But You and is slated to appear in the upcoming Twisters restart and Edgar Wright’s reinterpretation of The Running Man. Nonetheless, in a recent conversation with The Hollywood Reporter, Powell divulged that he declined a significant part in the forthcoming Jurassic World overhaul.
Expressing his admiration for the original Jurassic Park movie, Powell elucidated his choice to forego the Jurassic World role by mentioning, “Jurassic is one of my top films. It is one of the aspirations I have had my entire life. I am opting out of that film because upon reading the script, I immediately felt that my involvement wouldn’t enhance it.” Even with the return of the original Jurassic Park scriptwriter David Koepp drafting the screenplay, Powell’s decision was not anchored in the film’s caliber.
