Greetings, fellow creators: this is a prime example of innovation. Capcom has opted to remove gender-specific protection sets in the upcoming game, Monster Hunter Wilds, releasing on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
During the live broadcasts from Gamescom 2024 today, it was revealed (and confirmed through a practical demonstration) that Capcom will be abandoning the traditional gender-linked armor options for adventurers. Irrespective of your avatar’s gender, you will now have the opportunity to acquire and wear all armor variations without any limitations.
In previous iterations of Monster Hunter, gamers were restricted to specific options based on their character’s gender. Nevertheless, in the forthcoming game, all gamers will have the liberty to wear either Variant A or Variant B of each equipment set. Personally, I experimented with creating unique combinations by blending different pieces of protection, for instance, coupling a ‘male’ Chatucabra head with a ‘female’ Chatucabra body in the same loadout. This feature provides enhanced personalization and adaptability.
