Recently, Helldivers 2 has entered a quieter phase. Arrowhead has been concentrating on resolving glitches and rolling out updates at a slower rate, causing some players to feel that things have become somewhat stagnant. The game has achieved a significant milestone in terms of its PC player community, sparking dialogues about the game’s future direction.
Despite initial support for Arrowhead’s revised approach to handling issues and introducing fresh content, the outcomes have been somewhat varied. Specific equipment and enhancements, such as the lance, continue to encounter difficulties even after receiving patches. Arrowhead is putting in efforts to address these challenges, but players may find themselves disheartened by the persistent obstacles.
As per SteamDB, the game’s peak player count on Steam within a 24-hour span currently stands at 45,315, which is about 10% of the peak player count recorded in February at 458,709. The player figures have been gradually declining since then, with the game last hitting the 200,000 milestone in late April.
