The Ongoing Disesteem towards Chris serves as the animated extension of the well-received 2000s sitcom Everybody Hates Chris, with a confirmed launch date on the horizon.
The series delves into Chris Rock’s life in a partly autobiographical fashion, featuring Rock in the lead role and as an executive producer for the animated installment. Scheduled to air on Comedy Central on September 25, 10pm Eastern Time, fans are still waiting for a trailer, causing a degree of apprehension. The fresh series will maintain its focus on Rock portraying an older Chris recounting his escapades, with Terry Crews and Tichina Arnold reprising their roles as Chris’ parents, Julius and Rochelle.
Given the maturation of the original young Chris actor Tyler James Williams, Tim Johnson Jr. will step into the character’s shoes in the animated adaptation. The ensemble also features Terrence Little Gardenhigh and Ozioma Akagha as Chris’ siblings, Drew and Tonya.
